TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GENERAL PRICES
- We regularly review our prices and if you make a booking in advance and you have paid for it, the paid price will remain the same, and is not subject to increase or decrease.
- Barnsley Bowl Ltd. forbids the selling on of bowling at an increased price by any third party. In such cases bookings will be automatically void with no refund. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of vouchers.
- Adult prices displayed are for persons 16 years or over. Junior prices displayed are for persons 15 years or under.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES / GROUP BOOKINGS:
- Parties and Group Bookings require a deposit to secure the booking – this is non-refundable.
- Any subsequent payments made cannot be refunded.
- External entertainers are not permitted (unless agreed in writing by Barnsley Bowl Ltd.)
- All children attending an event / party must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while on the premises.
- The unlimited soft drinks are only available during the birthday party time slot. 2 Hours Maximum.
- Our staff are here to assist and ensure a safe environment, but parents, guardians, and accompanying adults remain responsible for the behaviour and supervision of the children in their care.
- For everyone’s safety, please ensure everyone follows staff instructions.
- For safety and comfort, we recommend that children use an 8lb bowling ball, which is suitable for most ages and abilities. These balls can be easily identified by the large number “8” engraved on the side of the house ball. Our team will be happy to assist in selecting the most appropriate ball for each child if you are unsure.
- Running, climbing on equipment, or entering restricted areas is not permitted.
- If at any time a child’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, we may ask that they be removed from the activity or indeed asked to leave the centre if necessary.
- We understand that accidents happen; however, any wilful damage to property, equipment, or facilities caused by children or guests may result in the parent or guardian being held liable for repair or replacement costs.
- We do not accept liability for any injury or accident arising from failure to follow safety guidance or staff instructions.
FOOD DRINK AND ALLERGIES:
- Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary requirements so we can accommodate them safely.
- Only food and drink purchased from Barnsley Bowl may be consumed on the premises (unless by prior agreement for specific dietary reasons).
- Please speak to our staff about the ingredients in your meal when making a food order. We have risk-assessed our kitchens’ allergens; because of the nature of our food operation, we cannot fully guarantee that ANY food will be completely free from allergens.
GUEST PROPERTY:
- Barnsley Bowl Ltd. is NOT responsible for any damage to personal belongings or property of guests during their time at the venue.
OFFERS AND DEALS:
- Barnsley Bowl Ltd. reserves the right to withdraw or amend special offers at any time.
- Management’s decision is final.
- Offers and Deals cannot be combined or used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
- Restrictions may apply to offers during school and bank holidays.
BOWLING PRICES
- Our bowling prices are inclusive of VAT at 20%. The price includes shoe hire. Drinks, snacks, meals or arcade games are not included in the standard price and must be paid for separately as consumed or used.
- Adult prices displayed are for persons 16 years or over and junior prices displayed are for persons 15 years or under.
ARRIVAL TIMES
- We recommend arriving at the centre approximately 15 minutes before your booking start time.
- Late arrivals may not be able to play and could lose the total amount paid. Please leave plenty of time for your journey.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
- Barnsley Bowl Ltd. offer a standard no refund policy on all payments made, either by walk-in, telephone or online. If you wish to cancel your booking, you will not be offered a refund, this includes the booking fee.
- There are no cancellation rights under the The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for any scheduled packages or events.

CUSTOMER PRIVACY NOTICE
How your information will be used
1. Barnsley Bowl Ltd and its employees need to obtain process and store information from our customers in order to conduct our day to day business. The information we hold will be used to process your booking, enable your games, and effectively, safely and lawfully manage the relationship between Barnsley Bowl and our customers. This includes using the information to reserve your lane on our booking system, placing your names on the lanes while you bowl, passing on the information to the kitchen so that your food is ready on time, recording your scores should you require a printout and occasionally contacting you with relevant marketing communications. We may also use this information to comply with any legal requirements, pursue legitimate interests of the Company and protect our legal position in the event of legal proceedings, for example to prevent fraud, administrative purposes or reporting potential crimes.
2. All of the information we hold will have been provided by you. We do not buy data from external sources.
3. The sort of information we hold includes your names, telephone numbers, addresses, email addresses, social media user names, scores, averages, and team names.
4. We do not process special categories of information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and philosophical beliefs, biometric data or sexual orientation.
5. Where we are processing data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
6. Other than as mentioned below, we will only disclose information about you to third parties if we are legally obliged to do so or where we need to comply with our contractual duties to you, for instance we may need to pass on certain information to the police or our insurance providers
7. We do however pass on your personal information to LaneTalk who provide a web service that collects, broadcasts and collates your scores, names and averages and displays then on their website
Your rights
8. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) you have a number of rights with regard to your personal data. You have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, the right to restrict processing, object to processing as well as in certain circumstances the right to data portability.
9. If you have provided consent for the processing of your data you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time which will not affect the lawfulness of the
processing before your consent was withdrawn.
10. You have the right to lodge a complaint to the Information Commissioners’ Office if you believe that we have not complied with the requirements of the GDPR or DPA 2018 with regard to your personal data.
